Mid-Week Challenge

One of the best family programs on television at this time of year is A Charlie Brown Christmas.  It aired for the first time more than 50 years but it continues to be one of the most beloved TV specials of Christians because of Linus’ bold recitation of the gospel message. You might not know but that scene almost did not make the cut.  If it were not for Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz we might not have reason to remember the special. Thanks to his insistence that the true story of Christmas be presented we continue to have a witnessing tool for all ages each Christmas.  The special first aired in 1965.  Read more about it: https://www.christianheadlines.com/contributors/michael-foust/how-charles-schulz-fought-for-jesus-in-a-charlie-brown-christmas.html

We all have ways to share our faith like Charles Schulz did we just must be aware and sometimes creative.  Be open to how God wants to use you where He has you and you might just surprise yourself this season.  God has a purpose for all of us and a portion of that purpose is to share our faith in Christ.  Let’s celebrate Him each day but especially on His birthday!  He remains the greatest gift that has ever been given!

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  John 3:16
