Mid-Week Challenge

Back to School! Those are the words most students don’t want to hear, but parents love! That is unless you are a parent of a first-year student or one who is in their last year.  It’s interesting in how we respond at different times in our life and at different events.  In both of these cases (first year and last year), unless you have had a student go through these events before, there’s no preparation.  Parents are lost as how to feel and how to respond.  These events are a mix of emotions.  One thing that we can always count on to remain faithful and true is the Word of God.  I came across an article that contains a month of prayers for our students.  Several authors from various backgrounds are represented and with all of their life experience shared, we get an idea of how we might pray for our children and parents.  You might not have a student that fits this description but you are impacted by them when you engage with the community.  I challenge to you review the suggested prayers/thoughts for students and parents and add your voice to millions asking for God’s direction in this new season of life.
